A school district in mourning for yet another teacher lost to breast cancer

The Diclum Elementary School Community joins with all the teachers and school administrators of the Tobias Fornier School District in mourning for the demise of its colleague and sister in profession, Mrs. Vilma Ganacias-Serapion, 50, Teacher II of Ysulat Elementary School who passed away on July 7, 2011 due to breast cancer.

Mrs. Serapion had served the District of Tobias Fornier since 1991. She had served also as a substitute teacher in 1988 to Mrs. Florentina J. Roderos. Ms. Serapion is survived by her husband and two daughters--a freshman at UP Visayas and a  high school freshman.  She was first diagnosed with breast CA in 2004 and after years of good recovery, it recurred early this year to stage IV.

During her younger years, Mrs Ganacias-Serapion stayed in Igdalaguit thru a relative who supported her in her schooling.  She is the sister of Mrs. Lizalyn Ganacias Eguilos, MT-I of Diclum Elementary School.
